Project Challenge: Located on the North Shore of Long Island, The Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium began 2013 with a new Director. His vision was to elevate their marketing materials beyond a local level to one that would appeal to the environmental community, educational programs and statewide tourism alike. He wanted anyone who came across one of the Hatchery’s pieces enticed into planning a visit.
Process & Results: It is with that focus that the direction of the Annual Report has become an informative financial piece for members with a marketing initiative to help broaden their memberships and corporate donations. The designs, now in their sixth year, have been met with an overwhelming success rate. Their themes have included environmental stewardship, the long established history of the hatchery, and building on new educational programs. Members have been included in all phases of the Hatchery’s growth and progress. A complementary folded brochure has also been designed each year for placement into tourism locations.
